Illac Diaz | Litre of Light

Matt captured the non-profit movement Liter of Light, which is a global grassroots movement to bring cheap solar lighting around the poorest areas in the world, through the work of Mick Stephenson.
The Liter of Light window was made of thousands of discarded plastic bottles colored by hundreds of children in Durham, England and placed as a mosaic together by Mick in Durham Cathedral. Matt has captured the process of the artist and the spirit of the cause beautifully in his film that balances the difficulty of the structure but also the conviction of the artist to use his skills to make more people aware of the movement.
